How do I use the Mirakl mapping wizard ?

The Mirakl mapping wizard matches the categories, attributes and values of your catalog with those of the Alltricks Operator. This article details every step of the product flow mapping, up to validation and later imports.

Before you start

• Access to Catalog Manager in your Mirakl back office
• A product file already imported into Mirakl

Discovering the Mirakl mapping wizard

The walkthrough below shows the full wizard path, screen by screen.

Before you start, make sure your products were imported with correct information, in particular the EAN format.

Mapping the catalog categories

In the Mapping du flux produit : Catégorisation (product flow mapping: categorization) step, select at the bottom of the page the column matching your product category.

• Click the + to open the sub-category of each category. Every sub-category must be mapped to an Operator one.
• Categories with identical names can be mapped automatically by clicking the mapping icon.
• Clicking the arrows triggers an auto-mapping: a window opens with suggestions, approve them and click Confirmer (confirm).
• Drag and drop the remaining categories of your catalog (on the left) onto the matching Operator categories (on the right).
• A mapped category turns grey. To change the mapping, click Mapping restant (remaining mapping), then the cross next to the category to change.

Mapping the attributes

Your attributes must match those of the Operator. All attributes shown in red are mandatory to import your product catalog.

• As with categories, attributes with identical names can be mapped automatically by clicking the mapping icon. For the others, drag the attributes of your catalog (on the left) onto the Operator ones (on the right).
• Use the search bar to find an attribute.
• Hover over an attribute to display the explanatory window detailing the Operator requirements.
• Clicking Mapper automatiquement (map automatically) opens a window where you approve each step.

Mapping the attribute values

Click Mapping du flux produit : Mapping des valeurs (product flow mapping: value mapping). As with attributes, values with identical names can be mapped automatically with the mapping icon. For the others, drag the values of your catalog (on the left) onto the Operator ones (on the right).

Defining the transformation rules

At this step, you can transform or validate the content of your attributes. For example, to automatically capitalize the first letter of each sentence in the Description attribute: Transformations > Majuscule en début de phrase (capital at the start of a sentence).

Checking the summary and the imports

Before importing the catalog, check that the information was imported correctly at each step.

If some categories, attributes or values are rejected, you will have to redo the step concerned. Click Étape précédente (previous step) or directly on a step of the process in the left-hand menu.

Running the following product imports

The mapping only has to be done once to match the format of your product file with the Operator one. For further product imports in the same categories, upload your files directly, built from the original Mirakl import template, from Import produit.

1. Select Produits (products) under Contenu du fichier (file content) and Normal as the Mode d'import (import mode).
2. Click Choisissez le fichier (choose the file).
3. Click Importer to confirm the import.

In short

• Check the format of your data, especially the EAN, before mapping.
• Map the categories, then the attributes, then the values.
• Deal first with the attributes shown in red: they are mandatory.
• Check the summary before validating, then the error report after the import.
• Run a new mapping as soon as you add a new category or a new value.
