How do I create a refurbished product listing ?

Selling refurbished products on Alltricks starts with a dedicated product listing, separate from the new product listing. This article details how to create the EAN, the product listing and the attributes specific to refurbished products in Mirakl.

Before you start

• Access to Catalog Manager in your Mirakl back office
• A GS1 account to generate your EAN codes
• V1 of the refurbished program covers bikes only

Knowing what a refurbished product is

A refurbished product is a "product already used and/or second-hand, put on sale after undergoing a technical operation guaranteeing its use and its safety (diagnosis of the product state, repair, replacement of parts) and/or repackaging."

Creating a new EAN

An EAN is subject to very specific conditions. The seller must create a new EAN for every refurbished product.

The only organization authorized to generate an EAN is GS1. The EAN format required by Alltricks is a 13-digit format.

Creating the product listing in Mirakl

Next, create the product in Catalog Manager, using either of these two methods:

Filling in the refurbished attributes

Fill in the overall state of the bike in the Condition (Reconditionné) attribute, that is attribut_547. Three states exist for products: Hardware Très bon état, Hardware - Bon état and Hardware - Etat correct.

Fill in the Tag Occasion attribute with the value Occasion_online.

Write the title in the format Produit reconditionné - OFFRE - ETAT.

In the attributes, categorize your products in SP2 and SP4, and for electric bikes include the word électrique in SP4.

Adding quality photos

Take high-resolution photos of the bike from several angles to show its real state. Include images of the repairs where possible. The first image must be on a white background.

Writing the product description in HTML

Write a detailed description of the bike, including the brand, the model, the technical specifications, the overall state, the repairs carried out and the benefits of the refurbished product.
